Rupert Murdoch doesn’t normally allow the riff-raff to visit his website without paying for the privilege, but they’re making an exception for their campaign for safer cycling. As a London Critical Masser until I left the Peak District in 2001, I would love to see a safer London for cyclists. I took part in a moving tribute to a cyclist killed by a lorry on that massive scary and notorious roundabout (embarrassingly I can’t remember the name) south of Liverpool street, a decade and more ago, and it’s much worse these days. It’s good that the Times is doing this (not before time, all the newspapers based in London should follow suit) and we should support it.
