No kerbs, pavements or nanny-state signs: Britain’s longest clutter-free street is unveiled to make things SAFER

Sounds good, I’m not an expert, but why did it cost so much to remove all the clutter?

Sure we need the special paving/road boundary signals (why? Close your eyes and think how you would know you were in the road if you were blind), but why the fancy criss-cross tiling?

Jeez, now I’m sounding like a Taxpayers Alliance droid.
